Mike Goldberg Commentating through the Pain

In the days leading up to UFC 106 rumors have been abundant about the condition of UFC commentator Mike Goldberg. He got sick last week in Manchester and I can state unequivocally that he was not himself at the after party. He was stretched out on the floor in total chill mode while watching the boxing match and he must’ve gotten worse later on.

This sickness had many wondering if Joe Rogan would have to fly solo, but Goldie is a gamer. A shot of cortisone in the tongue and a day of intensive jaw and throat rehab and he is battling through the pain to work UFC 106.

Through Twitter Goldie said, “The story of my demise has been overly exaggerated...I am sick from UK trip...Doc Stile gave me an IV...I'm going to sleep and will be ready.”

We all know the business of fighting is tough even for the commentators, so here’s to Goldie for battling through the illness, and don’t give him crap if his patented, “And it’s all over!” is not quite as enthusiastic as usual.
