Compustrike Stats from Strikeforce Evolution

Scott Smith came from behind again, and get this, in rounds one and two he landed just 11 total strikes. Then in round three he dropped Cung with the short left and landed 14 strikes to finish it.

In all Scott hit Cung 25 times and Cung hit Scott 45 times in the first round alone. Yet Scott caught lightning in a bottle to win in dramatic fashion once again.

Gilbert Melendez threw a pretty impressive 467 strikes against Josh Thomson, that averages out to 93.4 strikes per round, but in the championship rounds he threw 114 and 128 strikes so he got busier as the fight wore on.

By connecting with 19 of 35 strikes in round one, Josh out struck Gilbert who was 16 of 66. It turned out to be the only round in which Josh hit Gilbert more than Gilbert hit Josh.
