TUF 10 Finale: Kimbo's Ground Game, Big KO's, and Big Country

12 Marcus Jones was about as tired as I was with the waiting. He raced out and took Matt Mitrione down in (12) seconds.

414 Guess not, after a big right hand Edgar subbed Veach with a rear naked choke in round two. It was his first submission win since (4/14) in 2006.

59 At (59) minutes into the first hour, after we watched Houston Alexander rock back and forth repeatedly, Joe Rogan interviewed Hulk Hogan and they hyped up an upcoming Spike event. Now is this UFC stuff real or is it scripted? And does this mean Shane McMahon is with the UFC now? And when can they bring chairs into the Octagon?

326 We got an extra (3:26) of action as we saw Joe Brammer make an unsuccessful UFC debut against Mark Bocek. “The Southside Strangler” was standing RNC’d by Bocek. During the fight Rogan gave us an interesting nugget of information saying, “Bocek by the way was one of the first guys to train Lorenzo Fertitta and Dana White. That’s how they met this Young man.”

26 Minutes (26) into the second hour when it really did happen, Kimbo entered the Octagon for his first official UFC fight.

76 I bet Houston was pretty pissed about the scheduled fight time. His Nebraska Cornhuskers were trailing the Texas Longhorns by the score of (7-6) in the 3rd quarter of the Big 12 Championship game.

120 After (120) seconds of following Alexander Kimbo raised his hands like, can we fight please.

255 We didn’t see any real exchange until (2:55) into round one.

2 Times (2) in the first three minutes of round two Kimbo mounted Houston. He did it again with under a minute remaining in the round.

1 Big kicks (1) to the knee by Alexander dropped Kimbo in round three, but Kimbo ended up in Alexander’s half guard. And when it was all said and done, (1) the number of wins for Kimbo in the UFC as he claimed the decision.

2 About (2) minutes after Joe interviewed Kimbo, a perfectly timed interview of Joe with B.J. Penn and Diego Sanchez aired…
