UFC on Versus 2: Where ONE was the number of the Night

An event that was moved from Utah to San Diego some two months ago went off on day number (1) of August, UFC on Versus featured a whole lot of one’s.

Brian Stann finished Mike Massenzio with a triangle, his (1st) submission victory through 12 fights. It also earned Fight of the Night, his (1st) in the UFC and it was his (1st) fight at middleweight.

Takanori Gomi grabbed win number (1) in the UFC with a big right to the head of Tyson Griffin. The KO was also the (1st) time Tyson Griffin has been stopped and the loss marked the (1st) time in his career to suffer back-to-back losses.

John Howard now has (1) loss in the UFC against four victories thanks to Jake Ellenberger, who used his wrestling to swell up Howard’s left eye and force a stoppage.

And finally, Jon Jones is (1) bad dude on his way to what might turn out to be (1) of the best careers ever in the UFC.
